Welcome to Chicken Notes
My name is Chicken Man Dan and these are my chicken notes.
Currently, I have ten chickens that I share with my family and neighbors in a coop in my backyard. 8 of the 10 chickens we raised as chicks that we bought last spring. Now they are getting to be full sized and beginning to lay eggs. The other two we adopted from a neighbor. They were already full grown and laying when we got them.
What can I say? Raising chickens in some ways has been easier than expected, but not without it's share of challenges and hardships.
This blog is devoted to documenting our experience.
